20 Day Challenge--Day 4

Prompt: Write about a time when you were so happy. When you were so sad. Did you learn from those experiences?

Darn! This one is definitely the hardest one so far! Ok I'll start with happy. I don't know! I fell like I'm generally a happy person (even though it may not always seem like it). Hmm. One time when I was really happy was when my brother came home from his mission. I missed him SOOOOOO much! Of course I got sick of him really fast, but it was a really happy time. Ok now sad. I got it. I wont go into details but the summer before my freshman year of high school, my best friend of six years basically told me I was a nobody and that she was sick of pretending to be my friend. Yeah that was definitely a major low point on my life. Ok did I learn from these experiences? HECK TO THE YES!!! Sometimes I wonder where I would be now if I didn't have those (and many other) experiences to help me through life. If my brother hadn't left on mission (and of course come back) I wouldn't have the testimony and love for the gospel that I have today. If my former best friend hadn't done what she did and said what she said I never would have learned the importance of forgiveness towards everyone no matter what they do. Also I wouldn't have learned that words may hurt but my (and heavenly fathers, and my familys) opinion of me is worth so much more than other people's. Plus when I look back at that I can only think of one thing. Those where small compared to the joy and sorrow I will feel as my life progresses! However, I know that if I can get threw things like I have and become even an inch closer to my savior, than imagine how close I will be to him after and through the things to come. So come what may because no matter what happens I know who will be by my side threw the whole thing.
